What are dental implants?
Dental implants in Reading are long-term replacements for missing teeth, offering a safe, strong, durable and reliable solution to restore patients’ health and their smiles.
Implants are essentially titanium posts which replace the root part of an absent tooth. The implant is placed in a socket in the jaw bone and, once it has fully integrated into the bone tissue, supports a crown, dental bridge or denture to reinstate full mouth function.

How they work
For full-mouth dental implants in Reading, bone loss may still be present, but bone grafting isn’t necessary. Unlike single implants where there is only one place in the jaw bone for it to go, the surgeon can place them anywhere in the jaw with suitable bone density.
Gipsy Lane Advanced Dental Care now offers a revolutionary alternative – same day teeth. It is a scientifically proven technique which means that your failing teeth can be replaced in just one day with fixed teeth. You will get your smile back -and your confidence – and can even crunch into a healthy snack within just a few days.
The convenience of one-day dental implants is simply astounding. What typically takes traditional implants months to achieve can be done in just one trip to your dentist (after a short consultation, of course).
There are no concerns about wearing dentures while you wait for your implants to heal. Our extremely skilled process is comparatively free of discomfort, your recovery is quick and you will receive a great-looking smile – no one will ever know you are under treatment when you choose our implants in Reading.
The best thing about one-day dental implants is that pressure from chewing and brushing is evenly distributed throughout the entire jaw – rather than an individual crown or implant. And thanks to technological advances, final replacement crowns, bridges or dentures can restore implants instantly, meaning you can walk out of the dentist with a big smile on your face!

The consultation process
These artificial roots are referred to as dental implants Reading, and typically 6-8 implants are needed to stabilise a full set of dentures (at least 4 placed within the upper jaw, and at least 2 in the lower).
This can vary however as no two mouths are the same, which is why Gipsy Lane Dental offers you a consultation, during which you can find out more about denture stabilisation and how it can be tailored to your specific needs and requirements.
These consultations come with no strings attached and give you the chance to explore what can be a life-changing dental treatment.
How can dental implants in Reading help you?
There are many benefits of dental implants, including improved bite strength and comfort, and as a result, the ability to eat a broader range of ‘chewier’ foods without any worry. Teeth implants can be used to help replace one tooth, or several teeth, even offering a perfect solution to help with denture stabilisation.
Our top team of specialists here at Gipsy Lane Advanced Dental Care have many years of dental implant experience. Our dental implants have helped to restore many patients’ smiles as well as their health and confidence.
Our Clinical expert says

Case Review: Dental implants Reading
Here’s an example of the way dental implants can transform our patient’s smiles:
This young man, unfortunately, did not develop all of his adult teeth and had retained some of his milk teeth. Recently he had lost these milk teeth and wanted to get them replaced for a full and healthy smile. He was also unhappy with the appearance of his front teeth – particularly the gaps between them and the shape. With the help of our experts, it was decided to place 3 implants at the front and using tooth coloured composite bonding, the front teeth, were naturally reshaped.

Denture Implants Reading, how it works
At Gipsy Lane, Advanced Dental Care our experienced dental implant team treat every patient with the utmost respect and understanding. The process is fully discussed with you before treatment begins to ensure you are happy and comfortable. The process is incredibly similar to having dental implants where artificial roots are inserted into your jaw bone and work similarly to stabilise and improve the all-around comfort and functionality of your dentures.
Denture Stabilisation
Denture stabilisation is a tried and tested solution to the problem of unstable, slippery dentures. This unfortunate aspect of dentures can limit your quality of life in terms of what foods you’re able to consume, how comfortably you eat them, and how you feel when wearing your dentures. By stabilising them, you can address these issues and enjoy the benefits that come with a full and healthy smile.
Denture stabilisation is one of many dental care services offered at Gipsy Lane Advanced Dental Care. This particular service is designed to ensure that your dentures work, feel, and look as natural as possible, with a comfortable fit.

Excellent Dentist.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Sue Milne2024-07-17I visited Gipsy Lane Advanced Dental Care yesterday to have a large and broken molar removed. I had been worrying leading up to the appointment, but the dentist was very reassuring and calming, explaining exactly what was going to happen and his staff were also very kind and attentive. He numbed the area and after a very small amount of pressure told me to rinse. I thought this was just mid treatment, but the tooth was out and it was finished! I am due to return in six months time, with a view hopefully to having an implant fitted. I would not hesitate to recommend this Practice to anyone.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Andrew Jamieson2024-07-13Hitesh always gives great dental advice, and his dental work is always superb.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Carl Fleischer2024-07-12I had an excellent professional check up, with both my Hygienist and Dental Consultant. Patient Testimonial
“I booked in for an implant. The initial consultation was very professional and included x-rays, which I was shown on a big PC screen, including a mock-up of how the implant would look, plus a comprehensive explanation of what was involved, including the cost. The next appointment was for an hour or so and involved fitting the implant into my jaw. A very slick team of four did this, led by Dr Desai, with huge attention being paid to hygiene aspects. I had a couple of stitches but these did not bother me and I had very little discomfort afterwards. I got a serious briefing on what to do during the healing period of two weeks. I was also given antibiotics to take to avoid possible infection. The next appointment was a very short one, two weeks later, to check that the healing had gone OK, which it had. I’m now waiting for two months before going back to get the ‘abutment’ fitted and then the new crown will be fitted onto this a month later. A highly professional practice that I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of getting an implant.”

Who can get Dental Implants?
Dental implants are a suitable option for many patients however this will be determined on a case-by-case basis at an initial assessment. In some cases, poor oral health can impact eligibility as a certain amount of healthy bone and gum is necessary. We encourage anyone considering dental implants contacts our team for a 30-minute consultation during which we can assess you and provide a detailed plan of action that will suit your needs.
Do you offer dental implants in Reading for full tooth loss?
Yes, we do! Many of our patients come to us unsure whether we can help because they have only one missing tooth, or that they have a full arch of missing teeth, but this isn’t an issue. Whether you have lost one or two teeth, or a full set, we offer a dental implant solution to suit.
How long do I need to wait for my new teeth?
There is no guaranteed timescale when it comes to getting dental implants fitted, and it can differ depending on a range of factors including the number of teeth needed and the condition of your gums beforehand.
Although the process of getting dental implants can take some time, we can promise that you will never leave our clinic with dentures. How long do dental implants in Reading last?
Dental implants in Reading are made to last for many years. With proper oral hygiene and regular dental check-ups, your dental implants could last as long as 30 years or more. While the implanted metal post will never decay, the gum tissue and bone around the implant can be susceptible to infection or inflammation, which is why it’s important to take good care of your dental implants and to visit your dentist regularly.
You may also need to replace the crowns eventually, but again, with proper care, they can last for many years.
Are dental implants painful?
Dental implants in Reading are a popular and effective way to replace missing teeth and are also considered to be a very safe and reliable treatment option. However, as with any type of surgery, there is always the potential for some discomfort. Most patients report that the pain associated with dental implants is similar to that of getting a tooth extracted, and there may also be some soreness and tenderness in the gums and jaw for a few days after the surgery.
The good news is that this can usually be controlled with over-the-counter pain medication and should be relatively short-lived.
