To all our patients,
Thank you for your continued loyalty and support, even during these uncertain and challenging times. Our thoughts go out to all of you who have been affected by this unprecedented situation. Further to my e-mail to you all last communication regarding the situation with COVID-19, I am writing to you again to update you with how this rapidly evolving situation will affect your care at Gipsy Lane Advanced Dental care.
We would like to reassure you that we are OPEN and available for you and here to help you. However, in line with national guidance and directive from government and professional bodies for all medical and dental professionals in the direct front line of dealing with COVID-19, we have had to implement the following restrictions immediately to maintain your safety and our staff safety:
Our phone lines remain open and all our dentists are available for you to talk with if you have any concerns.
What to do if you have an appointment
- As of Monday 23rd March 2020 all routine dental care will be suspended for the foreseeable future and dental care will be restricted to dental emergencies only
- If you have a booked appointment with us in the upcoming days / weeks, please ensure that you do not attend this appointment unless you have an emergency situation. One of our team members will endeavour to contact you by telephone or email to rebook your appointment at a later date once we have some certainty of the current situation
Incase you need us in an emergency
- We shall provide a telephone / videocall triaging system (similar to the GPs) for any dental emergencies in the first instance and if of a suitable level of urgency then arrangements will be made for you to be seen at the practice. The telephone triage system will be operating daily from 0900-1700 Monday to Friday as of Monday 23rd March 2020.
- If you are a designated key worker and are unable to attend for emergency care between normal hours, we will make additional arrangements for you to be seen outside the normal working hours at no additional cost.
My absolute priority at Gipsy lane has always been to ensure the safety and wellbeing of both our patients and also of our staff and will continue to act to ensure the health and safety of our patients and our teams. Please note that we are as a dental practice take the well being of our patients seriously. If you are self isolating and would like someone to talk to please call us on 0118 966 5656 and speak to one of our team members who will happily listen and may even be able to help you in some way. If you are struggling for emergency supplies, please contact us and we will try and arrange something to help you including the supply of toothpaste and tooth brushes by post if necessary.
Please remember that our phone lines remain open and all our dentists are available for you to talk with if you have any concerns. Our focus and duty of care is not only to protect our patients and staff but also to minimise the spread of COVID-19 by enacting upon the social distancing measures as stressed by the government in recent days. As always, we are here for you and shall continue to act to in the best interests of the health and safety of you, our patients and our team.
As you are aware the situation with COVID-19 changes on a daily basis and I shall attempt to keep you updated as best as I can as guidance develops. We hope to resume our services back to normality as soon as we can and look forward to welcoming you back to Gipsy lane and bringing a smile back to you.
