Amy O’Brien

Amy became Practice Manager in January 2012, and enjoys the daily challenges this brings. She is always available to help patients with any issues they may have and oversees the day to day running of the practice. Amy acts as a liaison with our many referring dentists.

Amy started her dental career as a receptionist in a single-handed practice in 2000 and progressed to Dental Nursing. Enjoying all aspects of the role, she qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2002 and as a Dental Health Educator in 2004.

Amy left nursing to train as a Dental Hygienist, qualifying from the Burkhart School of Dental Hygiene and Therapy, Eastman Dental Hospital in 2009 as an Extended Duties Hygienist. She joined the practice in October 2010 and currently sees patients two days a week. Amy has a particular interest in treating patients with periodontal disease and works closely with Ulpee Darbar at the practice.

She is married to James and mum to Spencer, and lives in Reading. Outside of work her interests include gardening, travel, reading and supporting Tottenham Hotspur football club.
